Hey everyone and welcome to our brand new site. We will be posting all information regarding our band on this site so please remember to check it to see what's new with the band.

Along with the debut of this site, we are officially releasing our debut full length album Last Light in the House today. You can buy a physical copy from us at shows or you can download the album from this site from the Merchandise page.

"The Venue", a music publication out of Eastern CT reviewed our new album recently and wrote:

Towering Days: Last Light in the House
"Real light fingers on the keys, vibrant almost angelic soul touching. I'm loving the shadows of Bluegrass & Banjo throughout the album. A most unique sound, definitely in a class of its own. "The Rain Had Passed has a signature sound and its the best song on the disc."

Thanks to them for listening to the album and writing our first official review.

Here is another review from www.neverbeenheard.com website.

Within the album “Last Light in the House,” Towering Days was able to combine the musical influences of four gentlemen and put a welcome spin on what most refer to as indie rock, or as some might say a Death Cab-esque sound.

Common themes throughout the album: travel, nature, the seasons, change and love, have been pieced together with Guster-like harmonies, intricate melodies and a touch of Sufjan Stevens with the clever use of horns, strings and other percussive instruments like glockenspiel. Nothing about the instrumentation is overpowering, and knowing that this is only a quartet makes you more appreciative of all of the special effort that went into the creation of these songs and this album.

It’s as if the album is a series of memories that Towering Days has decided to share with us. The imagery of the lyrics has been enriched by the texture of the music. The fourth track on the album is one of my favorites - “Lamps Light the Pavement.” Your foot immediately starts tapping to the boom of the bass drum, and it’s got one of my favorite musical elements going on - the tambourine. The dance vibe throughout the song is mixed with an ambient feel thanks to the guitars, keys and the layering of the vocals such as the back up parts.

Good for a long drive or a walk through your neighborhood or city, it’s a great album to listen to when giving life a second to admire and focus on to clear your head from your everyday worries. It’s easy to get caught up in this album, so feel free to just let yourself go and take a listen to Connecticut’s own, Towering Days‘ debut album.

We will be spending the spring trying to play shows throughout the Northeast whenever we can, and are working on some exciting things for the summer. Drop us a line at one of our sites (facebook, myspace, etc.) and meanwhile, keep listening. Thanks for all your support!
